I am a wedding officiant in Austria, Germany, Italy, Hungary and anywhere else you would like to get married. As a trained "PR guy", a qualified dance teacher and with more than 250 non-denominational weddings under my belt, I have learned over the years how important it is to captivate listeners in an entertaining way, to use the entire range of emotions and to be spontaneous and quick-witted. Experience and skills that I am incredibly happy to draw on as your wedding officiant.
I live in Wiener Neustadt with the best wife in the world and our little Staff cross Brownie. Two great, grown-up boys are our pride and joy and I recently became MAvO. Grandma's husband, because grandpa definitely sounds too old for me ;-) Although...meanwhile OPA doesn't hurt at all and I'm incredibly proud of our little Emilio!

My approach as a moderator of your wedding ensures that you and your guests are actively involved and that your big moment is unforgettable through a variety of words and actions, unconventional elements and hearty laughter. You know it from television: great presenters ensure that a show is unique and extraordinary. They create the framework and the right emotional setting, put the main actors at the center of the action, get the guests in the right mood in advance and encourage them to become part of the whole thing.
That's exactly how I see my work during your wedding ceremony! Like a good TV presenter, I'm not interested in hearing myself talk or pushing myself to the forefront, but rather in setting the stage for you and using my experience, humor and composure to ensure that you can relax, feel comfortable and safe, and that the time flies by in an entertaining way for you and your guests.
Our common path to your wedding
Your non-denominational wedding should suit you like a glove! To make sure your big moment is perfect, we start with a non-binding introductory meeting where we will conjure up a first draft of your dream ceremony together. Here you will get to know me and my creative approach.
In a detailed wedding interview, ideally accompanied by coffee or a glass of wine, you will then tell me about yourselves as a couple - from the first time you met to the marriage proposal. Why you love each other so much and why maybe on some days you only love each other "semi" 😉 I am aware that you are confiding intimate details to me and that makes me your ally, your friend for a certain time. I listen, understand your emotions and shape them into the perfect words, sometimes sensitively, sometimes casually and entertainingly.
I will be at your side until your wedding ceremony, help with the planning and be there when things get tricky. At the end of our journey, your big day will arrive with a wedding ceremony that will not only be an unforgettable highlight, but will also authentically reflect you and your love.
How much does a non-denominational wedding cost? While many of my colleagues only answer this question very vaguely, I have opted for transparent pricing. Ultimately, our joint path only works if both sides are open and honest. Frequently asked questions about outdoor weddings
Is a non-denominational wedding legally valid? A non-denominational wedding is the most individual and certainly the most beautiful way to celebrate your love as a couple, but unfortunately it is not (yet) legally valid. Anyone who wants a letter and seal for their marriage still has to go through the administrative process of a civil wedding. Most couples usually complete this "official process" a few days or weeks before the non-denominational wedding, which is ultimately THE wedding day for them and their guests. But there are also wonderful ways to let the civil wedding and a non-denominational wedding ceremony merge and let your guests participate in both the official and the emotional part of your "I do" in one ceremony.
Kann man eine freie Trauung mit der standesamtlichen Trauung kombinieren? Von unserer Seite, sehr gerne! Dies ist die beste Gelegenheit, Eure Gäste Zeugen des offiziell amtlichen Teils des JA-Worts werden zu lassen und gleichzeitig eine emotionale und individuelle Zeremonie „drumherum“ zu erleben. Es vereint quasi das Beste aus beiden Welten. Es hängt jedoch vom jeweiligen Standesamt bzw. StandesbeamtIn ab, ob die standesamtliche Trauung in das Setting einer freien Trauung eingebettet werden kann bzw. beides zum selben Zeitpunkt stattfinden darf. Klärt dies bitte so früh wie möglich mit dem jeweiligen Standesamt ab. Im Zweifelsfall trennt sicherheitshalber standesamtliche Trauung und freie Trauung. Viele Paare vollziehen den verwaltungstechnischen Akt im ganz kleinen Rahmen im Vorhinein (das können Wochen vorher sein oder am Vormittag des selben Tages) und feiern dann mit ihren Liebsten die freie Trauung. Noch niemand hat jemand im Nachhinein gefragt, ob die freie Trauung „wirklich eine echte Trauung“ war 😉
Where can we get married with einfachTRAUEN? The einfachTRAUEN team now consists of two other wedding officiants in addition to Roman Degold, and we are available wherever you want to get married. We have already been to every federal state in Austria on behalf of love. We have accompanied couples as they say "I do" in French villas, Hungarian aristocratic estates and in Tuscany, Italy. Perhaps you also want to get married abroad? We are there and do not limit our activities to one region!
Who can get married in a civil ceremony? Any person who has reached the age of 18 can get married in a ceremony at einfachTRAUEN. We make no distinctions in terms of nationality, sexuality, skin colour or religion.
We want to give our wedding a special theme. Do you only hold non-denominational weddings in classic suits? We love unusual themes and creative specifications. We will of course come in the outfit that suits your non-denominational wedding. It doesn't matter whether it's a formal suit, a themed outfit, traditional costume or jeans! Our speakers have already been to a wedding with stormtroopers, wore a Batman mask when the couple said "I do" or dressed up as a priest as a special gag when the bridal couple entered!
We have someone in our circle of relatives who likes to talk. He could also conduct our non-denominational wedding. That would be much more personal and cheaper! We all have that one person in our circle who likes to talk a lot, always has a quick joke on their lips and can tell anecdotes like no other. But that alone does not make a wedding officiant. At einfachTRAUEN you also rely on experience, security and flexibility. Together, my team and I have already accompanied more than 300 weddings and have experienced everything. We know how to act when something doesn't go according to plan, without losing the emotional thread. Our professionalism helps us to radiate calmness that takes you along and calms your nerves a little on the big day. We also didn't become wedding officiants to hear ourselves talk for hours, but to put you and your love in the foreground. And last but not least, your family members should be able to enjoy your most beautiful day in peace as guests and not be burdened with responsible tasks such as that of the wedding officiant. But to answer your question in one sentence: Sure, you can let Uncle Gusti lead your wedding ceremony because he loves to talk so much! BUT: You can also let Aunt Mitzi sew your wedding dress because she once took a sewing course at an adult education center, and your cousin bakes the wedding cake because she has a Thermomix at home ;-)
Do you also include animals in the non-denominational wedding ceremony? Your dog can bring the rings with a special trick? You can ride to the altar on a white horse? Bring it on, we welcome any unusual idea and are happy to incorporate it into the ceremony. I only veto tarantulas ;-)
Kommen bei Euch denn gar keine religiösen Elemente vor? Unser Zugang zu Liebe und Ehe ist sehr weltlich. Für uns steht das Paar im Mittelpunkt. Aus diesem Grund schlagen wir von uns aus keine religiösen oder spirituellen Elemente in der freien Trauung vor. Wenn diese Euch aber ein Anliegen sind, dann finden wir sicher eine Lösung. Noch besser: Ihr habt jemanden an der Hand, der dieses Element der Trauung authentisch und aus Überzeugung übernehmen möchte! Wir hatten schon freie Trauungen gemeinsam mit Pfarrern, aber auch Familienmitglieder, die schamanische Elemente in die Trauung einbrachten. Natürlich nach vorhergehender Absprache mit dem Paar!
